PRODUCTION NOTES

Demonsamongus started out as a one page, six minute short film shot in
October 2001, experimenting with methods used in the horror genre, written
and directed by Stuart Simpson. The film starred Nathaniel Kiwi, who has
reprised the role for the feature, and required the skills of SPFX Makeup
artist, Nick Kocsis. Impressed with his talent, Stuart asked Nick if he
would be interested in doing a feature length version with loads of blood
and guts. A close partnership was born. Both shared a love of the intense
genre, punk rock music and were passionate about the idea of a volunteer
based production. Stuart finished the final script in December 2002,
started preproduction and began shooting in July 2003. Demons' was mainly
shot on a weekend, once or twice a month over which will have become a two
year adventure. The whole film has been funded by Stuart and Clare, with
all cast and crew volunteering their much valued time and energy for free.
It's a beautiful thing really. Post production lasted six months with
Stuart single handedly doing all editing and visual effects. Clare
Whitcombe's role as Co-producer grew to include the massive job of
composing the origionalscore for the film. Her ongoing experience as a
performing singer/keyboard player enabled her to pull together a
collaboration of some of Melbourne's many talented musicians from a
range of musical styles, from Jazz to Country to Punk and everything
inbetween. Such a broad collection of styles enabled Clare to compose
a highly unique and original soundtrack. Demonsamongus was completed in
late June 2006.
